The Wyandotte originated in the US in the 1870's. It is a dual purpose breed which is a popular show bird. Its a striking bird with a rose comb and clean legged. Varieties of the Wyandotte include golden laced, silver laced, white, black, buff, Columbian, partridge and silver penciled. They lay around 260 tinted eggs a year.
